The possibility of continuing the perpetuation enterprise and expanding it as part of the current ''Beit Hannah'' were considered, but two substantial reasons contributed to the decision for establishing a new center.
- The existing ''Beit Hannah'' is situated in an old building which is too small to contain everything. The audio-visual presentation cannot be expanded, the study center is crowded and it is becoming difficult for the pupils to work. It is not possible to host large groups, there is no room for adding new content such as an appropriate and respectful homage to all seven parachutists who were killed on their mission, no room for adding inter-active displays, no room for a library, a study hall, etc. As a whole, in the current place it is impossible to develop a perpetuation center, varied and rich in content and educational activities fit for the 21st century. For this purpose a new center must be established.
- The current ''Beit Hannah'' is situated in the heart of the Kibbutz, and does not have parking lots nearby or a comfortable access road. The existing parking lots force the visitors to walk a great distance on their way from the parking space to the center. In addition, the approved Kibbutz master plan bars the paving of an access road and the adding of a parking lot at the existing site.
Once the decision for a new building was taken, a suitable area was allocated by the Kibbutz for this purpose. The designated area is situated near the beach where Hannah wrote her poem ''Eli, eli'' and where she used to take walks. Nearby are the Caesarea antiquities and the old Roman theater which has been unearthed and reconstructed, and where important opera and theater shows are staged.
The new perpetuation center will make possible a highly emotional meeting of the visitor with the unique figure of Hannah combined with the historical and moral study aspects of the entire parachutists' mission. Special emphasis will be put on exhibitions and activities aimed at youth and schoolchildren. An additional goal, which motivated the establishment of the center, is the preservation and translation of the large amount of material that the family has donated to the center, which still has to be processed and has not yet been revealed to the general public.
