The foundation was established for the perpetuation of the memory of Hannah and her comrades. The foundation is recognized as a non-profit organization by the tax authority of Israel. The establishment of the foundation was initiated by the Senesh family, members from Kibbutz Sdot Yam and from among the general public. |
As far back to 1950, the members of Kibbutz Sdot Yam established a Culture Center in the memory of Hannah called ''Beit Hannah''. The place consists of a memorial hall with an audio-visual presentation about Hannah's life story, a study center for school children, an archive, a modest display of her literary legacy, and the Kibbutz library. |
